From Farm to Fork

dinner table in spring

Helen Keller famously wrote “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” What if you could bring together friends and community members around a great meal highlighting ingredients grown fresh from our Kentucky farm families? A meal that literally comes together fresh from the farm to that table. And what if on top of all of this, you could also help raise money for a local charity?

The Kentucky Proud Farm to Fork program aims to increase awareness of farm to table benefits and the Commonwealth’s local food movement by teaming up with organizations to raise money for community charities. Host organizations organize events that highlight local farms, farmers, producers and Kentucky Proud farm products. Get involved today and find a Kentucky Proud Farm to Fork event near you!

Interested in hosting a Farm to Fork event?

The Kentucky Proud Farm to Fork cost-share grant for 2024 can reimburse up to $750 of the farm food costs and promotional expenditures branded with the Kentucky Proud logo. Promotional expenses include but are not limited to advertisements for the event, menu cards, tickets, and on-site signage. Menu items must be sourced directly from a Kentucky farm where the commodities were raised, from a processing plant that can identify the Kentucky farm of origin, or a distributor/business that can track either of these conditions. The Kentucky Proud logo on a product does not always indicate direct farm impact. Our staff is happy to help develop the menu for your event or assist in any other way possible.

All Farm to Fork Events must take place before November 17, 2024. Applications for Farm to Fork events are due 30 days before the event. Expenditures occurring before the date the application is approved will not be eligible for consideration. Event reports and reimbursement forms from the host organization must be submitted within 45 days after the date the event occurs.

Funding for Kentucky Proud and the Farm to Fork program is made possible through a grant from the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund.
