Three-quarters of Kroger’s grocery stores in its Louisville Division, which also includes its stores in Lexington and central Kentucky, will sell Kentucky Proud gift baskets this Christmas.
“As the holidays near, we expect about 75 percent of our stores to put together Kentucky Proud gift baskets,” Tim McGurk, Kroger’s public affairs manager for the Louisville Division, wrote in an email.
In September, Kroger joined with officials of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture to announce that it would add kiosks displaying 58 Kentucky Proud items from 24 vendors in 16 northern Kentucky supermarkets. A year ago, Kroger launched 125 new items from 34 Kentucky Proud members in 88 Kroger supermarkets in Kentucky.

Starting the weekend after Thanksgiving, Trunnell’s Farm Market invites the public to the Daviess County farm to kick off the Christmas season with “a memorable family experience.”
Along with unique gifts or gift baskets, customers may choose a freshly-cut Christmas tree in four evergreen varieties: white pine and Fraser, Turkish, and corkscrew firs.
