All parts of the food distribution chain are united to find solutions for sustaining local food purchases. Local restaurateurs, farmers, chefs, food distributors, food producers, Kentucky Department of Agriculture staff, and other interested parties conduct round table discussions to evaluate and provide feedback on the Buy Local program.

It is also an opportunity for participants to speak with Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles about food procurement practices, and successes or obstacles in purchasing local products. The goal is to generate open and honest dialogue regarding food procurement practices.
